...in our center in the heart of Europe.

For over 20 years, the Saphir Radiosurgery Center Frankfurt am Main on the campus of Frankfurt University Hospital has been the central point of contact when it comes to the radiosurgical treatment of benign and malignant tumors and functional disorders. In particular, regions of the body that are difficult to access, such as the brain or spine, can be treated effectively and gently here.

A team of experienced employees is ready to help you. In Frankfurt, we attach great importance to research and further training and work closely with Frankfurt University Hospital. This allows you to benefit from first-class interdisciplinary exchange and access to the latest medical knowledge and studies.

In order to treat complex cases such as brain or spinal metastases or mobile prostate tumors in the best possible way, technical equipment of the highest standard is required. With the CyberKnife, we have one of the world's most modern radiosurgical systems at our disposal.

Radiosurgical treatment with the CyberKnife is a non-invasive, highly precise treatment procedure with few side effects. Due to its ability to detect and irradiate moving targets in real time, the system offers demonstrable advantages over other radiotherapy procedures, particularly in the treatment of tumors in the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities (lungs, liver, kidneys, prostate).

If you would like to find out more or make an appointment, we will be happy to help you.

...our center right by the sea.

The Saphir Radiosurgery Center in Kiel is located on the campus of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein in the Karl Lennert Cancer Center. The integration of our radiosurgery center into the UKSH offers our patients numerous advantages. Access to comprehensive medical resources, direct professional exchange and an improved infrastructure are just some of the advantages that guarantee treatment at the highest level.

Specialist expertise and state-of-the-art technology are essential. We are proud to be able to offer you exactly that at our radiosurgery center in Kiel. Our team consists of multiple award-winning employees and competent specialists who are actively involved in research projects and play a key role in the development of new treatment methods thanks to our university affiliation.

This makes Saphir Kiel one of the leading facilities for the radiosurgical treatment of prostate, lung and liver tumors. The special feature here is the movement. This is because each of these organs is constantly in motion, e.g. through breathing or intestinal movements.

The CyberKnife was the first system in the world to be able to compensate for respiratory-related movements in the body. In addition, the CyberKnife has a high-precision robotic control system, modern digital image guidance and artificial intelligence algorithms that can focus high doses of radiation with sub-millimeter accuracy. This protects surrounding tissue and organs.

This creates unique quality standards in the far north - for your benefit. If there is anything we can do for you, please get in touch. We are here for you.

Quality creates safety.

And safety is essential when it comes to the treatment of patients. This is why continuous monitoring and review of all processes, technical equipment and planning is essential in the medical field. This in turn ensures the highest standards of patient care.

Our centers are continuously involved in quality assurance in radiosurgery, improving treatment and radiation planning, monitoring the use of CyberKnife and analyzing errors and results before, during and after treatment. With these complex and innovative processes, we ensure the highest possible quality of treatment with the CyberKnife for you - our patients.

In doing so, we set new standards in radiosurgery. Our work on quality assurance was awarded the High Precision Radiotherapy Prize by the German Society for Radiooncology. And we will continue to put all our energy into the further development of our quality standards in the future. For your safety.

“Winner of the DEGRO High Precision Radiotherapy Award 2016 for quality assurance.”
