Holistic care
starts with planning.

We want to make your treatment and the procedure as pleasant as possible. That is why we have developed a 5-step plan for your treatment, which ensures a smooth process for you as a patient and for us as your radiosurgery center.

Step 1: Treatment recommendation

Radiosurgical treatment can only be carried out if there is a treatment recommendation drawn up by multidisciplinary experts. This is usually discussed and decided in a so-called tumor board. Either you already have such a recommendation or you can send us your findings so that we can evaluate your case based on the guidelines and/or present it in one of our tumor boards.

Step 2: Cost coverage

If radiosurgery is an option for you, you can be treated by us. With a few health insurance companies, an application for coverage of the treatment costs is necessary beforehand. Our experienced team will be happy to advise you on this step.

Step 3: Planning

After a detailed consultation between you and our doctors, the actual treatment and radiation planning takes place. First of all, your image data (CT, MRI, PET if necessary) is recorded, which is used to precisely define the target volume to be irradiated and calculate the optimum radiation distribution for treating the target volume.

Step 4: Treatment

Once the treatment planning has been completed, your actual radiotherapy with the CyberKnife begins. This takes place on an outpatient basis and is as simple as possible for you. In the best case scenario, you will only need a single treatment session; depending on the location and size of the target volume, you may need up to 5 treatment sessions. A session lasts between 30 and 60 minutes - in rare cases there are also longer sessions, e.g. for multiple targets.

Step 5: Aftercare

Your personal aftercare is then carried out by our team of experts at the Saphir centers or at our partner clinics. You decide what is most convenient and practical for you.

We plan your health. Together.

If you have decided to undergo radiosurgery at one of our centers, we will help you with all the necessary steps regarding cost coverage. Due to their excellent reputation, our centers have concluded special contracts with all private and almost all statutory health insurance companies. Since October 2023, it has even been possible to bill some treatment indications directly via your health card.
